What to Expect with Custom Work
Custom Work: What to Expect
Thread & Craft Custom Studio – Where ideas are made wearable.
1. Every Custom Piece Is Made by Hand
Custom apparel is crafted one piece at a time with precision and care. Because each item is unique, small variations between garments are normal and part of handcrafted production.
2. Design Approval Is Required
Before we begin production, you’ll receive a digital mockup showing your design, colors, and placement. Your written approval is required before any stitching or printing begins.
3. Fabric Behavior Can Affect the Final Look
Different fabrics react in different ways to embroidery, DTF, and rhinestones. Texture, thickness, stretch, and fiber content may cause minor variations such as:
- Light puckering or texture changes
- Slight print/placement differences between items
- Natural variance when working with highly stretchy or plush materials
These are normal and not considered errors as long as the final product matches the approved design.
4. Placement Tolerance
Hand-placement and garment-to-garment differences may result in small placement differences. A variance of up to 1–2 inches is considered normal for handmade production, especially across different cut garments.
5. Revisions & Communication
You will have an opportunity to review your design and request changes before final approval. After approval, the design is locked in to maintain accuracy and quality.
6. Final Sale Policy
Because custom items are created specifically for you, refunds are only available prior to design approval. After approval, all custom orders are final sale.
